BioI am fangirl, hear me roar. Seriously, that's all I do on this column.
So, yeah, this is a column dedicated to my wonderings about the nature of yaoi and slash, and why they are as they are. I read a lot of both, so I tend to think about these things more than a normal person should.
Warning: I like to make up statistics, especially about Japanese culture, which I don't often have evidence with which to justify it. And just because I'm an angry anti-mpreg rant-whore, doesn't mean I'm not interested in hearing other opinions. In fact, I beg you to challenge me, especially when I say something that's really wrong or naive. Just because I hold the rant-stick doesn't mean I can't pass it. It's just really hard for me to let go... *snuggles rant-stick*
Hopefully, if I've done what I wanted to do, I've written a series of columns that gets you thinking about what it is to follow Fanshido, the Way of the Fangirl, and you know, why the hell trends in story-archs and other stuff exist as they do. It's actually really interesting once you think about it.
